Prayer requests
I would very much appreciate your prayers regarding this trip! It is such a fantastic opportunity and I want to make the most of it. Please thank God that this trip is finally happening and please pray:

For me and my family as we try to figure out caregiving solutions for my parents (for this trip as well as longer term).

That I would draw near to God in our extended prayer times on the trip and and not be easily distracted. That I would really “seek His face” (as a sister encouraged me from Psalm 27:8), setting my mind and heart on coming before the Lord.

That my eyes would be opened to the spiritual darkness in Japan. When I visited as a tourist in 2006, I really only saw the interesting and cute things adorning the surface of this culture.

That I’ll be encouraged rather than discouraged in my language learning since I’ll probably only comprehend about 10% of what I hear. (Listening and speaking are hardest for me.)

That the Lord would grant me wisdom and discernment on future steps.
